Really interesting to learn about the coal mines and their history. We had fun and I would recommend it to everyone. *They had a landslide that covered the tracks so we didn’t go to the actual mine. They don’t tell you this on their website, that I seen. Call ahead because we were told it would be several months before they’re able to go the full trip of 1 hour and a half. Family friendly!

This was really fun! My wife and I took this trip and enjoyed it very much. The train takes you on a scenic trip to an old mining camp. The camp has several displays with recorded narration about activities that once went on there.

Really great people. Very good for any size kid. They have events going on all year all. Right now half of the track is close but will be back open in about 3 months. Lots of Lot of history at this place

Took the parents, relaxed and traveled back in time to Blue Heron coal community. They would have never made the hike, and the train was sooo scenic!! Took a picnic lunch, relaxed, enjoyed history!!

It is a fun experience to ride the train, although the train is in need of some maintenance in my opinion. It is loud and squeals a lot! The train generally only goes around 5 - 10 mph so you get to see lots of the scenery. The engineer points out items of interest as you go along too. You do not turn around so which ever side of the train you sit on will be the side you are on for both trips. All in all it was enjoyable.
